Met de ontwerpen die ik tot nu toe gekregen heb ben ik nog niet helemaal gelukkig. Ik zend ze je hier met enige kantekeningen terug die de aard van mijn opmerkingen zullen duidelijk maken. Zoals je ziet komt het er op aan de zaak nog verder voor te bereiden en door te werken.
Intussen ben ik gisteren bij de heer Quarles van Ufford geweest. Naar zijn mening, en hij zal aldus de heer BERGER adviseren, zou nu in zee kunnen worden gegaan met de kaarten voor bier, suikerwerken, huisvestingskosten, administratieve arbeid en marktanalyse. Hij vraagt een kostenraming voor de eerste vier. Ik hoop dat je dit nu snel zult beantwoorden, want de zaak loopt toch nog niet zoals we afgesproken hebben.

I am not yet completely happy with the designs I have received so far. I am returning them to you here with some notes that will make the nature of my comments clear. As you can see, it is a matter of preparing and working through the matter further.
In the meantime, I visited Mr. Quarles van Ufford yesterday. In his opinion, and he will advise Mr. BERGER accordingly, we could now proceed with the cards for beer, confectionery, housing costs, administrative work, and market analysis. He is asking for a cost estimate for the first four. I hope you will answer this quickly now, because the matter is still not going as we agreed.
