Beste Lips,
Uiteraard zal ik het bijzonder aardig vinden wanneer het boekje vertaald zou kunnen worden en ik schrijf daarom nog vandaag aan de uitgever. Wanneer hij ermee instemt, zal hij ook wel een exemplaar aan je toesturen. Het kan natuurlijk zijn, dat hij er een zeker bedrag voor wil hebben; ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat ik geen honorarium hiervoor zal claimen.
Ik heb met veel dank de stukken betreffende het monetaire overzicht gekregen. Bij de vele belangstelling die ik er voor zowel in Amerika als in Duitsland heb ondervonden, komt onze Engelse tekst goed van pas. Hij wordt gestencild.
We zullen het natuurlijk weer prettig vinden als je terug bent, maar aan de andere kant heb je daar een belangrijke post, die ons ook tot voordeel strekt.

Of course I would find it particularly nice if the booklet could be translated and I am therefore writing to the publisher today. If he agrees, he will probably also send you a copy. It could of course be that he wants a certain amount for it; I can only say that I will not claim any fee for this.
I received with many thanks the documents concerning the monetary overview. Given the great interest I have experienced for it in both America and Germany, our English text comes in handy. It is being stenciled.
We will of course find it pleasant again when you are back, but on the other hand you have an important post there, which also benefits us.
