Overeenkomstig mijn toezegging doe ik je ter inzage toekomen het rapport van de commissie voor coördinatie van de investeringen (Benelux). De bladzijden 36 tot en met 40 geven je de gewenste inlichtingen. Daarbij moet worden bedacht dat thans het prijsniveau van investeringsgoederen ca 50% hoger ligt dan in 1948. Je zult zien dat volgens tabel IV tegen prijzen van 1948 de netto investeringen nodig voor de bevolkingsuitbreiding geraamd zijn op ƒ 720 mln + ƒ 420 mln = ƒ 1140 mln, die voor verhoging van de welvaart op ƒ 1280 mln. Beide componenten zijn dus ongeveer even groot volgens deze becijfering en wat lager dan 10% van het nationale inkomen.
Ik ontvang het rapport gaarne na inzage weer terug.

In accordance with my promise, I am sending you for inspection the report of the commission for coordination of investments (Benelux). Pages 36 up to and including 40 provide you with the desired information. In this regard, it should be noted that the current price level of investment goods is approximately 50% higher than in 1948. You will see that according to table IV at 1948 prices, the net investments required for population expansion are estimated at ƒ 720 million + ƒ 420 million = ƒ 1140 million, and those for increasing prosperity at ƒ 1280 million. Both components are therefore approximately equal according to this calculation and somewhat lower than 10% of the national income.
I would like to receive the report back after inspection.
