De Heer Secretaris van de Raad van Beheer van de Nederlands Economische Hogeschool ROTTERDAM.
In verband met mijn zeer sterk bezet werkprogramma zou ik het op prijs stellen indien er een beperking in mijn taak aan de Nederlands Economische Hogeschool zou kunnen worden aangebracht. Ik verzoek U mij, indien U hiermede accoord kunt gaan, in het vervolg alleen te belasten met het geven van de colleges in de wiskundige economie en de econometrie, hetgeen betekent dat mijn aantal college-uren met twee per week zouden verminderen. Onnodig U te zeggen dat ik de colleges statistiek, die ik dan niet meer zou geven, steeds met veel genoegen heb gegeven en dat ik U gaarne dank voor het in mij gestelde vertrouwen. Ik stel er hoge prijs op de banden met de Hogeschool niet te verbreken: vandaar mijn verzoek de andere colleges te mogen voortzetten.

In connection with my very heavily occupied work schedule, I would appreciate it if a reduction in my duties at the Netherlands School of Economics could be made. I request that you, if you can agree to this, in the future only charge me with giving the lectures in mathematical economics and econometrics, which means that my number of lecture hours would decrease by two per week. Needless to say, I have always given the statistics lectures, which I would then no longer give, with great pleasure and I would like to thank you for the trust placed in me. I place a high value on not breaking the ties with the School: hence my request to be allowed to continue the other lectures.
