PROF. DR J. TINBERGEN THE HAGUE, March 2, 1954
Sijzenlaan 41
Professor Benj. Graham,
122 East 42nd Street,
New York 17, N.Y.
Dear Professor Graham,
I was glad to hear from you since I feared some misunderstanding on my part. I am quite willing to write the article and as you may understand, it is not primarily the fee which matters. I am going to write the article and will let you know afterwards what I think the fee for a similar article in Holland would be. It will not be an condition, however, on my side.
You may be interested to know that Mr Goudriaan gave several lectures about the topic while being here, and that it is now being discussed both at the Central Bank and in a government commission in the Netherlands. Also the Rotterdam School of Economics is now devoting quite some interest to it and my colleague Prof. J. G. Koopmans is lecturing in his class on the question.
Yours very sincerely,
