My dear Ohlin,
Thank you very much, not only for your congratulations by cable as well as by letter, but also for the part you probably played in the "awarding process", and, then, for the information contained in your letter of October 31. Since I accepted a lunch invitation for Friday in Stockholm I am going to write to Professor Bentzel proposing that I come to Uppsala on Thursday.
I am glad to accept the kind invitation for informal dinner with the Scientific Economic Club and I will excuse myself with Mr. Iveroth, as you suggest.
May I propose as the subject for my official lecture in Stockholm: "The Use of Models: Experience and Prospects".
My wife and I are certainly looking forward to visit Stockholm again, after the extremely pleasant time we had as far back as 1937, a time of which we still speak and tell our grandchildren.
I am sending copies of this letter to our friends and colleagues Lundberg, Svennilson and Lindbeck in order also to thank them for their congratulations.
