My dear Harrod,
I have a letter from Dr. Erich Schneider whom you certainly know as active member of the Econometric Society. Dr. Schneider was Professor at Aarhus, Denmark during the war and published some very interesting books. He will now go back to Germany and have a chair in mathematical economicsat Kiel University.
From him I hear that he is trying to get re-published the wellknown journal "Weltwirtschaftliches Archiv". He wondered whether some influence could be exerted on the British military authorities in favour of this republication.
Have you got any opportunity of getting contact with these authorities? For my part I should like to emphasise the high scientific standard of this journal which it tried to maintain during all the war. I think it would indeed be worthwhile to permit this journal to be published again. Please could you let me know whether you see any opportunity to cooperate in this question?
