Dear Colleague,
Since we discussed the possibility of a session of the Econometric Society in Italy the following new conferences have been announced which should not coincide with ours:
International Economic Association, September 11 - 15;
Specialists on "input-output" analysis, the end of September.
It seems useful therefore that the Econometric Society would meet either at September 20 or in the beginning of October. Please, let me know your preference in order that we may announce to the European members what the time and place will be. Do I rightly understand that you will be the organizer ? If so it would be very kind of you to make some provisional arrangements and to let me know. It is customary that the organizer or the organizing committee sends an announcement of the conference e.g. in stenciled form, to all the European members inviting them to subscribe. The further announcements need only to be sent to those who are on the subscription-list. Please let me know whether you want any help from my office.
