Dear Kaldor,
I have not actually accepted to participate in the
conference orgonl25ed by Sauvy»although I do think that the subject
is worth while. At any rate I have the feeling that an improvement
in eoonoi.iic understanding of say employers orgariizations» trade
unions and even "the public" generally is really important for the
succe* of any depression policy, to q.uote an important siio ject for
to-day. It is moi?3 for lack of time thj--! I do not accept; sorae of my
immediate collaborators probably will attend.
As far as I xmderstood the theme questions v/ill be discu
as to how the situation ohanged since the 30s in different co\intriaa
and what means could be used in order to change it further. In thia
