I herewith enclose a l i s t of publications which
I think may be useful for studidng the subjects Die6i|ioned
i n youx' l e t t e r of April 30, 1953, addresoed to Prof. Tinbergen.
The publications nrs. 1-i* contain information
on methods of computing national income, setting up national accounts and s t a t i s t i c a l material. Publication
nr. 5 i s devoted to the government activity between the
two world wars. The share of government expenditure in
national income during the post ?/ar period can be derived
from the document nrs. 1-i^.
The distribution of national income among wage
earners and non-wage earners i s dealt with in tl:jtó a r t i c l e s
mentioned under 6-11.
National income s t a t i s t i c s and national accounts
i n the Netherlands are very often used^in formulating the
national eco-nomlo policy. In Benelux discussions t h i s way
of formulating i s rather d i f f i c u l t as in Belgliam national
income s t a t i s t i c s have not reached a reasonable w^ga€'ot
development,
