Dear Howard,
Thank you very much for sending me
the t¥/o documents you found in yoiir study
and excuse me for the trouble they caused
you. Our thoughts have been several times
recently v/ith your home where jiist a year
ago ipre spent such fine days, A couple of
weeks ago I v/as nearer to you than you might
have expected: I overflew the United States'
territory between the great lakes and San
Antonio on my v/ay to Mexico City, I 'nas part
of a mission to advise the Flexican Government
on their port development programs and
had a chance te renew my contacts with
several of our colleagues, I found UH^UIDI
especially "bright and also the people of
the Central Bank and the Commission of Investments, In addition I saw a nurnoer of
other interesting people i?/hich made ray trip
a very satisfactory one,

of our year-plan, and no central economic
plan in English for 1953 exists , I asked
the li'braz^y to send you, however, a copy
of the 1954 I^nglish version»
