Dear Professor Bov»man,
Thank you for your kind letter of March
2k* I am very honored by the offer you make me,
but I cannot,at least for the first years to
come, accept it, I have many obligations in
Europe and think I have to stay here. Taken by
itself it v;ould have been very attractive to
me; I often think of my stay in the States as
a very good time.
Of course I do hope that we will keep
in contact,especially for questions of mutual
interest. I have pleasure in sending you the >,
just published English edition of the 195U
Central Economic Plan of the Netherlands. At the
moment we are discussing the American situation
currently and next v;eek there will be a consultation of European economists with Mr Jacob!
from the Council of Economic Advisers.
