Mr an Mrs Heinemann,

Dear Mr and Mrs Heinemann,
It was a great pleasure having
your letter of May 17» and we are very much
looking forward to see you again on this side
of the"great pond" as we say here. It will also
'be very nice to meet Marianne, especially for
Sis, ?/e hope, however, that you will he ahle to
change the dates a little "bit, since we are invited hy President Gilbert Write of laverford
to attend part of a Friend's meeting at Clarens
Switzerland exacly from 9-14 August, This is
why I am writing you immediately hoping that
you can somewhat shift or re-arraixge your
schedule so as to give us the pleasure of seeing
you. Probably we have to travel on August 8, so
that any time bef o le the 8th or after the 1i}.th
so far would be completely free to us.
It was a pity indeed that yotir
last kind invitation did not lead to success,
but we enjoyed meeting you at Washington and
before that at Philadelphia with the bankers.
There is much to be talked about indeed and let
us hope pleasant things also I
With the best personal wishes,
cordially yours.
