Dear Mr Bingham,
Thank you for sending me with your letter
of 28 January 1954 Prof. Harries's book in which
I read several chapters with great interest. I
think it is^very attractlVE synthesis of theory and
facts, written in a way to rouse the interest of
young'students. As a consequence of this way of
writing the book is of course long, and this in
a way constitutes a disadvantage to the more
advanced students. Nevertheless they will also
be struck by the Many interesting remarks and
opinions expressed by dr Hairiss.
Yours very sincerely,
.L
