NETHERLANDS ECONOMIC INSTITUTE

Rotterdam, 26th April 1955
Dr A. Mitra,
Ministry of Finance,
P. Block,
New Delhi.
My dear Mitra,
I got your letter of April 19 and I am
sorry to learn that your position had not yet
been fixed. Did you hear anything from Dr H.7/.
Singer (United Nations, New York)? I understand
that he is going to E.C.A.P.E. soon and I recommended you very strongly to him. Of course
you must go on wutiing to all institutions that
might have interesting work for you to do and do
not hesitate to mention my name. I think you
should just write to all of them, in orö|er to
improve your chances. As soon as I see other
possibilities I shall let you know. Working with
Dr Singer would certainly be very attractive.
With best wishes and kind regards,
(J. Tinbergen)
