Dear Mr Thompson,
I got your circular letter and the Gorman text of
a number of speeches. Although it will not be easy for me being a
State Official to participate in campaigns of 7-1^ days,I should
like to know in what country and.before what sort of meetings you
wanted me to speak. I don't think I am an appropriately speaker for
ve^'y large meetings. I am certainly prepared to adJIppsi- groups
up to hundred or a fev; hundrr-ds of people, I don't knov/ in what
category of me-^-tings your "scarcity" of speakers is largest. I
could only address people in English, France or German, not in other
languages. As I said before, it is not certain that I will get
permission of '"'^^ -'-"'"'^'^Tient, so please, consider this as a pr''^-^'i —"onal
^s^.
contact onl3^.
Sincerely yours,
Part of Letter to E.G. Thompson
