Dear Phil,
Howard Teaf told me that you succeeded
in getting yo\ir doctor degree after a time of
very hard work indeed, and I mn very glad to
congratulate you, I hope that you will have a
chance now to relax a little hit and thus will
"be able really to enjoy this success. I also
understand from what Howard told rae that you are
publishing a hookj is this the doctor thesis or
is it a "book ? Finally I had very good news from
him, namely that you are planning to come to
Holland and perhaps to work with us for some time.
That would he very nice indeed. Probably I shall
be absent from October 1 till April 1, but after
that date I have no special engagements. I understand that all sort of details have to be
regulated first so that I am not really expecting
an answer soon. I only want to tell you how
glad I am that you succeeded. Please, tell Ho
I got his letter and was very glad with it; I
hope to answer him also within a short time.
