Dear Mr, Coil:
I am writing on behalf of Professor J. Tinbergen, I>ireotor of
the economic research section of the Central Statistical Office, the Hague,
Netherlands. Tinbergen and his staff are attempting to become acquainted
as quickly as possible v/ith economic literature that appeared in this country
during the war, I shall be ver^' grateful if you would help them by sending
1) a complete file of the "Public Policy Digest,* 2) a complete list of
National Planning Association publications, pamphlets, etc., and 3) a few
of the most representative pamphlets.
Although I have not been officially authorized by the Central
Statistical Office to order material for them, I feel that they should
have this material without the two-month delay involved in writing back
and forth. Since the officials involved are my personal friends, I am sure
that they will approve of my action and arrange for any payment, duo for
the above material, as soon as the control of international paymentss
permits.
