Dear Sir,
I have read your article in Foreign Affairs
of April 1951 with the utmost interest and sympathy.
I vronder whether you should be willing to give me
some further hints as to where I can find something
more about what the United States Government is doing in this
this field. In particular I should be very grateful to
know whether there are any symptoms s'^if^ig^f^^ ^'^ *^®
possible change in attitude in Russia/^on trie one hand,
and in how far your opinion is shared by leading
personalities in the State Departmentj,on the other hand.
May be you could quote me some articles elsewhere
which may give me the answer.
