Professor Dr J.J.J. Dalmulder
Applicant is Professor of Econometrics at the Catholic
School of Economics at Tilburg and particularly Interested
in mathem.atical statistics and the philosophical and
mathematical background. He made some interesting statistical
studies of a more practical character,among others, concernin
developments of the factors of production and the national
product in f e Netherlands between the two wars.
His students like him very much because of the simple and
informal way he deals with his subject and because of the
devotion to his educational task. Prof. Dalmulder
already spent one or two terms at the Cowles Commission
in its early years and is personally known to Prof. Köopmans
of the university of Chicago. Having himself contributed
much to the introduction of econometrics as a subjept in
the program of the School at Tilburg, he would like^inform
himself on the new developments of this science as taught In
Chicago.
