I herewith declare that Mr Syed Nuiml Alam «as a student
at the Institute of Social Studies at The Hague from autumn
1952 to su^rmer 1954» followed my coarse on Models for Developraent Planning and participated in my seminar on Developraent economics, Mr Alam shov/ed himself a hard-working and
interested student, showed a very goad knowledge of the
economic literature on the subjects studied and wrote some
well-composed papers on "Qovernment Budget and Central Economic
Plan" and on "The Acceleration Principle and the Theories
of Business Cycles", Hè is also a nice personality.
