Dear Prof. Ashour,
I want to inform you why you did not hear from me during last
autumn. There was a change in my plans since the United Nations
technical-assistance budget was not sufficient at the time to finance
my trip to India. This is why you did not hear from me and why I did
not try to visit you.
Meanwhile I was happy to be invited by the United Nations and
by the International Bank to participate in work connected with the
problems of underdeveloped countries. So it may even have been good
luck that I was not yet engaged for the next half year. There may be
a change, however, that I shall go to India later on and you may be
sure that I shall not forget your kind invitation to see you.
